Single sign-on (SSO)

The single sign-on (SSO) feature allows you to log in to your LiveAgent account through your account in different services instead of by standard username and password method. The SSO feature is available on Large and Enterprise plans. When your service account shares the same email address (username) as your LiveAgent account, you can access your LiveAgent account simply by clicking a single button. LiveAgent currently supports SSO login through the following services:

  • Google
  • Microsoft
  • Facebook
  • Okta

The Okta SSO method requires integrating your own Okta account. For a step-by-step guide, refer to this article.

The standard login method using a username and password cannot be turned off.

When you choose to log in via SSO, you will be redirected to the selected service's authentication page (you are not logging in on the LiveAgent page). Once you have successfully authenticated yourself, you will be automatically logged in to your LiveAgent panel. This process is based on matching the email addresses associated with both your LiveAgent and service accounts. SSO will work even if you have a recently created LiveAgent account and have not yet set up a password.

To enable the SSO feature, navigate in your LiveAgent panel to Configuration > Security > Settings, and click on the "Change" button in the Authentication section. Do not forget to save the Authentication settings.

Only a single SSO method can be active at the same time.
