The Telegram integration allows you to connect your Telegram bot to LiveAgent to fetch and reply to messages sent to the bot directly from the LiveAgent panel.
To create a bot for Telegram integration, search in your Telegram app for the @BotFather user, and open the verified BotFather user. This is an official Telegram bot that guides you through the process of creating & managing your own bot.
If you haven't interacted with BotFather before, click "Start".
BotFather will list all available commands that you can use. Send /newbot command to the bot.
The /newbot command initiates the bot creation process. You'll first need to input the public name of your Telegram bot.
Next, enter the username for your bot. The username must be unique and end with the word "bot", e.g. MyCompanyBot.
If all steps are done correctly, BotFather will confirm the creation of the new bot. The confirmation message will contain a link to your bot which your customers can use to reach it, and the API token which is required to integrate your Telegram bot with LiveAgent.
