We appreciate the input of our users and encourage you to contribute new language translations or enhance existing ones. Contributors can choose to:
- Submit a new language translation
- Modify and improve an existing translation
How to submit new language translation
Before submitting a new translation, please contact our support team at support@liveagent.com to verify if the specific language is not already being translated by another contributor. If your contribution is required, then:
- New customers can register for a free trial of LiveAgent at www.liveagent.com/trial/. This trial can be extended to 30 days, during which the translation should be completed. A translation is considered complete when it reaches at least 98% completion. If the translation is not finished within 30 days and no progress is made, the free trial account will be suspended (unless upgraded to a paid version). However, if you are actively working on the translation and require more time, we will extend the trial period by a few additional days. After completing the translation, you will be eligible for appropriate compensation.
- Existing customers are welcome to translate the selected language during their paid subscription period. Please contact us, and we will guide you through the translation process. To deem the translation complete, it must reach at least 98% completion. After completing the translation, you will be eligible for appropriate compensation.
How to submit an update of an existing translation
To propose your suggestions to an existing translation, please contact our support team at support@liveagent.com with your suggested changes. If your suggestions are approved, we will guide you through the translation process. After completing the updates, you will be eligible for appropriate compensation.
Compensation for translation contributions
Compensation for translation services is determined on a case-by-case basis and discussed individually. It typically comes in the form of account credit to offset a few monthly payments, depending on the scope of the translated language.
