Last Standalone release of LiveAgent

End of life for LiveAgent standalone version - announcement date: 20th June 2024

As of June 1, 2020, we officially ended the promotion and sale of new standalone licenses for LiveAgent. Since then, it has not been possible to purchase a new standalone license. For customers with installation on version 5.42, we provide a data migration service to help transition to the cloud version of LiveAgent. Owners of standalone licenses are also eligible for a 30% lifetime discount when switching to the cloud.

The final standalone version of LiveAgent 5.42.6.18, was released on October 22, 2024. Customers with valid license updates can still download this latest release. From 2025 onward, all new features, improvements, patches, and bug fixes are exclusively available for the cloud version of LiveAgent.

Migration from standalone to cloud is guaranteed until the end of 2025 for customers with installation on version 5.42. After this date, migration may still be possible, but it is not guaranteed due to potential technical limitations.

Technical support for the standalone version of LiveAgent officially ended on 31st December 2024. Since then, our support team no longer provides assistance for standalone installations, with the exception of helping with migration to the cloud version.

FAQ

Can I continue using my standalone installation after the end of support?

Yes, customers with a valid license can continue using the software. However, no further support or updates are available. All future improvements and features are included exclusively in the cloud version.

What happens if I encounter an issue after support has ended?

Our support team no longer investigates or resolves issues related to the standalone version, as the support officially ended on December 31, 2024.

  • In case of setup issues, you may attempt to resolve them on your own.
  • If there's a functionality issue, you can either continue using the software as-is or migrate to the cloud version.

How can I request migration to the cloud and how much does it cost?

Is there a discount for standalone customers switching to cloud?
